Can I use Airlift helper springs to raise or lower my vehicle?
These kits aren't designed primarily for height adjustment, however if you want them to raise the vehicle a bit, you can add pressure and get an extra inch or so in height, or otherwise raise the vehicle back up to unladen height. They're not designed to take the place of a lift, or a lowering kit.
If you'd like a wide range of height adjustability we can help, email us for information about EasyStreet products.
Why should I get air springs?
Factory suspension is getting better and better, meaning larger vehicles are starting to handle less like boats and more like cars. However when the vehicle is loaded up with tools, goods, camping equipment, people, etc., or towing heavy trailers, you're going to feel some adverse effects on the handling.
These kits combat this by lifting the vehicle back up to unladen height. They stop bottoming out, but unlike traditional rubber bump-stops which are simply there to protect the vehicle, these cushion the ride, making things a lot more comfortable for all involved.
Can you supply custom kits for vehicles with leaf springs?
Yes we can! The measurements are a little more involved than they are with coil springs, which is why we don't currently have an online size guide. Because of this it's best if you email us for more information. Prices range from about £200-£400 depending on the application.
If I fit an Airlift kit, can I carry more weight?
You should never exceed the manufacturer's weight rating (GVWR). Airlift springs don't increase this. Manufacturer's weight ratings take more than just suspension into account, such as brakes, frames, tyres etc.. As such you should never exceed your vehicle's weight rating.
Adding weight over the factory rating is dangerous and voids your Airlift warranty.
Do I need an Onboard Control System to use Airlift springs?
No. It's a great luxury to have control of your springs from inside the vehicle, especially if you're adjusting them regularly, but the air springs can be adjusted from outside with a standard tyre pump as well.
How easy is it to install an Airlift kit?
This depends entirely on the vehicle. The kits themselves require no special tools (some require no tools at all!), At worst you may need to remove the coil springs. In some cases customers have managed to squeeze the cylinders through the coils in situ, but this isn't always possible. Like with any automotive part, installation is entirely at your own risk, however if the fitter has a bit of basic mechanical knowledge and isn't afraid of getting their hands dirty, it's a job that can usually be done at home.
What's the quality like? I've heard there are some inferior products around.
Airlift kits are known around the world for their quality. There are some cheap alternatives around which tend to divide opinion, but Airlift have been designing and perfecting these kits since 1950. All materials used are superb quality, and all kits come with a guarantee.
Air-lift.co.uk is a part of Intermotiv Ltd., where great care is taken in selecting product lines of the highest standard.
To put it another way, if we wouldn't fit it to our own vehicles, we wouldn't sell it.
Can you fit my Airlift kit for me?
At present we don't have the facilities to install, however in some circumstances we can offer a mobile fitting service, where a member of our team can come to your location to install and demonstrate the kit for you. There is a charge for this service and it's not always possible, so please contact us for more information.
Where can I get my kit fitted?
There are many automotive repair centres that know of these products, and they'll usually be happy to install the kit for you. If you're unable to install the kit yourself, you should ensure that you know of somewhere to have it installed before ordering.
What if something goes wrong with my kit?
These kits are built to last, so it's highly unlikely that anything will break provided they're correctly installed. It's also worth noting that they don't replace anything structurally on your vehicle so you'd still be able to drive without them.
If something does go wrong however, we're always more than happy to help you out. If you need a part and can't find it in our Accessories section, please just ask.
Shipping questionsHow accurate is your stock information?
Our stock information on the site is currently updated manually as an order is made, so we can't guarantee this is 100% accurate. For instance someone could snap up the last kit a moment before you, or in the middle of the night. If this happens, you'll be emailed ASAP, where you'll be given the option of either getting a refund or have the item ordered in. We regret that we can't offer additional discounts if this happens.
What if an item isn't in stock?
If an item isn't in stock, it means nothing more than it'll take a little while longer. Generally this means a 2-3 week wait, but your order will be processed straight away and you'll be kept informed of its progress regularly.
Can I collect?
Sorry, we don't have facilities to offer customer collection. This is one of the ways we manage to keep costs down. If you're local to us however, we may have a member of staff deliver the kit to you on the same day.
Customers will NOT be served directly from our offices under any circumstances.
What are your delivery times like?
If the item is in stock, it'll generally be shipped out within 1 working day. If you choose "Standard delivery", this usually takes 2-5 working days. You can choose "Next Day delivery", which will usually take 1-2 working days. We can't guarantee this, but it's highly unlikely to take longer.
If an item isn't in stock, it shouldn't take more than 2-3 weeks to have it delivered. Selecting "Next day" delivery at the checkout will hurry this up somewhat, however it'll still take a bit of time as the items will be coming directly from our supplier in the US.
All items are shipped with insurance unless otherwise stated.
What are your shipping rates?
We try as hard as we can to keep delivery costs to a minimum, and we like to be up front in telling you about the charges. This means we won't make you sign in or fill in any forms in order to get a price. Costs vary depending on your location, so if you'd like to find out the delivery cost, the best thing to do is add your items to the shopping cart, and your delivery options will be available to see.
Customer Service questionsMy order hasn't arrived yet. What's happening?
Firstly, have you received an email from us titled "Your Air-lift.co.uk order is being processed"?
This should have arrived separate from the payment acknowledgement receipt, and can take up to 24 hours. Check your Junk mail folder too. If not, it's possible that there was a problem with our system that we're unaware of, so please contact us as soon as possible with your receipt number and we'll get it sorted.
If your item was in stock at the time of ordering:
If you selected Standard delivery, please allow up to 7 working days before contacting us.
If you selected Next Day delivery, please allow up to 4 working days before contacting us.
If your item wasn't in stock at the time of ordering, it may take up to 3 weeks (15 working days) for delivery.
Either way we know how frustrating it is to be waiting for a package that doesn't arrive, so we'll do our best to keep you informed as far as delivery dates go. If you find that your delivery is taking a while, please do contact us and we'll do all that we can to get things moving.
Hey! I paid full price last week, now the item's on special!
Well that's not fair is it?
Email customer services and we'll refund the difference!
Please note that very occasionally, this excludes some items. If an item is exempt from this offer, it'll say so in the product's description.
